The VDA Yellow Volume, Artificial Intelligence in Quality Management, has been officially released to the global automotive industry. From now until June 30, 2026, the standard enters the public feedback phase. Industry experts and practitioners can download the complete document for free from the official website and submit comments and suggestions to the working group.

This VDA volume "Al in Quality Management" offers a structured guide for specialists and managers in quality assurance, production, development, IT and data science. This volume deals with the practical use of artificial intelligence in quality management as a tool and practical aid. The focus is on describing specific Al systems in quality management, their approval and how to effectively reduce their risks in use. It is designed to lower barriers for those new to AI, while also serving as a reference and source of inspiration for more experienced users.

The improvement of the Standards depends on the collective wisdom of the industry. We sincerely invite all relevant practitioners to actively participate in the feedback process.
